Maple Grove Crew Passes

Am I reading this wrong or...

Racers who purchased crew passes at the original event will have a portion of the original crew pass credited toward purchase of new crew passes. Crew fee discount will apply only with the original crew passes from this past weekend.

Crew did get to use 4 days, friday, saturday,sunday,monday if you so desired

GEEZ, ....just when you think you have seen it all ......a portion of the original crew pass will be credited .....gimme a fricken break .....this is a new low .....Maple Grove should PAY the crew members for sitting through four days of BULLCRAP when they should have pulled the plug early in the week ..

What portion of the three day pass was used? Friday, correct? So the Saturday and Sunday portion should be the portion credited and the August 28, 29 race will be a Saturday & Sunday race. I don't know how they'll fit all that qualifying and elimination into 2 days even if they limit it to 2 qualifying sessions each. TAD TAFC comp, SS, S, SC, SG, SST, TS, TD and JrD. We should have 450-500 entries. That's a lot to do in a little time

The forecast basically didn’t change for a week.
Should’ve canceled the race early in the week.

I don't want to play devils advocate for the track and I'm sure people will bash me over this but, they did lose a ton of money this weekend. You factor you had from what I was told by Danny 530 cars, by Saturday over 100 had pulled out already and Sunday about the same or more when they made the announcement it was going to Monday, I was sitting over in the booth with Betsy as the gangs of people were coming in & out. Then Monday they call it and more people came back to get refunds, all in the while they had to still bring staff in to sit in the rain, collect trash, run the concession stand and what little revenue they might have made on a Saturday Nights show with Jets and Alky was washed out because of the rain. I can tell you they had to pay for the Jet Cars to come in even though they never made a run, it's in the contract they sign....I'd be hoping for rain all the time to get paid if I ran a Jet...lol The staff kept asking "why are we here" to sit in the rain but, D1 was really hoping to race on Sunday afternoon (The forecast for Sunday looked great up until about Friday Night) so they couldn't send anyone home incase they started to race. It sucks for everyone involved but, to keep the lights on they had to try to make some money this weekend. I guess its a good thing I brought some $$$ in the week before...lol.

We can all play Monday Morning QB but, if they cancel Monday and the rain moves out, then you have people going "I can't believe we're sitting at home with it being sooooo sunny out." This reschedule has already caused more stress on myself then anyone else, that weekend was supposed to be the .90 Nationals and Top Sportsman / Dragster shootout at MG that we did last year, now I had to move to Labor Day for the .90 cars....which will cause less people because it's a holiday and Indy and then had to move the Top cars off that weekend to a June date because the Labor Day is Yellow Bullet. My phone has been non-stop since Monday....lol

Pete, I signed up for it, so I guess I take the punches as they come and try to come back up with a smile on my face. Just wish it would rain on the weekdays when we're all working and be nice and sunny when we want to go play! I couldn't imagine being a track manager in those situations, never going to make everyone happy, glad I passed on that in 2018....lol
