Default Drag strip opportunity in West Virginia

If you always wanted to operate a hilltop track in the mountains, here's your chance.

The track's scenic location.

this is an old airport that was closed, The whole county has 25K people living in it. anyone that would invest in the track would be throwing money away

Looks great to me in a romantic way. Back in the sixties and early seventies it would have been too cool. Today, a money pit.

The proposed dragstrip and the airport are NOT the same location. The dragstrip was previously a strip mine

If the state or counties were going to invest money, they should have purchased Kanawha Valley Dragway. The infrastructure was already there plus alot more people to draw from and close the 4 lane rt 35 now.

That looks like an old open-pit mine to me.

reclaimed Strip Mine

had a buddy that went to one race there last year. track was really rough, and a whole lot of dust in the pit-return road.
