The more Class Racing the better. However, how will the integrity of the category be legitimized?
If the IHRA wants to make a hit, hire the best of the Technical and lane management people as possible and above all PAYOUT! Value for entry is critical. In reality its not a Wally, but when you think about it, you'll see that most of the same racers will be there IF it's value based. Determine your own priority. |

I must have missed that. I read the story and it says top fuel, funny car, pro stock etc. but not any sportsmen classes. They are paying great for the bracket races at the world finals with even the jr dragster classes running for $12,500 for the world champion.

We will support the IHRA as long as the travel makes sense. I want this series to survive and thrive. I support and believe in Larry Jeffers,Kenny Knowling and IHRA. I think Jim Bailey would be a great hire for IHRA Stock, Super Stock tech.

Back in early 2000's, I attended both nhra and ihra in div. 4 and entered in stock, I was always shocked how few nhra racers would go to an ihra race even though entries and payouts were the same.
Both entities need the racers support, especially the underdog.

It?s great to have another dog in the fight. The NHRA has slowly been telling us how important we are in their business model. Quotas and more non class?s at Nationals. Limited tech and limited payouts and very few races that contest class. Some of you need to realize that you?re stuck in an abusive relationship. And the more abuse you accept the rougher it will get.
I?m fortunate to be able to race with the best association in the country and class racing will remain strong here. We also have a growing number of IHRA tracks. With the loss of NMCA we should realize that every track and event could use our support. If we as a Class racers supported our fellow racers, tracks, and events the opportunities would grow for us.
