We are having a double at Tucson Dragway on March 1st and 2nd. This is the week after the double divisional in Phoenix.
Fees per day - Gate fee: $65 Association Fee: $60 (Cash only) Gates open: 7am Track hot: 9am It looks like payouts will be: Winner: $1,200 Runner Up: $500 $100 Round Money starting with second round win. If I round up additional sponsorship money before the race I will boost those up as much as I can. There will not be a track hosted test and tune on Friday before the event. You can stack outside the gate for free Friday night if you arrive early. It sounds like the track will be offering Friday night parking and overnight camping inside for $30. I do not know what time the gates close if you are looking to take advantage of this and park inside Friday. Please reach out to the track for more information on this. Is this going to be a 1/4 mile race. And will there be heads up if you draw a car in your class.

The majority of the racers in that series wanted heads-up. Still in effect , I believe. Cars are weighed periodically . .

Mark is correct. We will run 1/4 mile unless for some reason the weather does not permit and the track determines we have to run 1/8 mile.
We do heads up if you run someone in your class. I think we?ve had 2 heads up runs in all the races we?ve done. We will weigh on those passes and typically do at least on one time run. Indexes will be altitude corrected. |
