I've heard of NASCAR Modified teams spraying the air filter element with NOS, freezing it and placing it on the engine just before the qualifying laps.

I once thought about wearing one the NOS "Let's Cheat" t-shirts to the track just for laughs but wisely thought better of it. But I did wear a t-shirt that stated "Just when you thought you had the rat race won, along comes a quicker rat" Dave Lebrun loved it and we laughed about it all summer long.
