Talking legal heads poured in division 3

rumor has it a set of 520 283 heads were poured for the record at bowling green and passed by over 2 cc's in both ports, and chamber, also cam rolled easily and all other specs were well within the guidelines.

what is this world coming to ?
doesnt everyone know you MUST cheat in order to go fast in NHRA ?

Jack,

Congrats on the record. Last fall at the Dutch Classic all the heads on the stocker records were poured and were 2-3 cc's to the good as well.

How can this be? Everyone knows that with the new stock valve job rule and pro flow valves, stocker runners are larger than the printed SS runner volumes.

Or are they???????? Hmmmmmmmmm. This interesting discovery may shed new light on the subject of stock cylinder heads.

Probably the first-ever record in that class held by an early 283 with a three-speed automatic!!!

Congrats, Cap'n....
