Hate.....thats another story but its tough enough dealing with fuel injected cars in the same class but SUPERCHARGED should be in a class by its self just like AFX was. NHRA has a can of worms on their hands and no one in those classes have a chance against them least they break or red light.

Back at the beginning of the year I asked an NHRA divisional tech guy if they had a spec for it, and i was told that Glendora may, but they did not have it in the field. Obviously i have know way of verifying this.

Are you running OEM valve spring seat pressure? Becuase if you are allowed to change your valve springs to prevent valve float you'll make more power and we can't have that.

apples and oranges

if the factory tensioner is spring loaded, so should whatever tensioner that is on it. otherwise its kinda like putting solid roller lifters on a hyd roller cam

But you first said the requirement should be the OEM tensioner be required. Now you say it should be a spring type tensioner if OEM is a spring type - this is a more rational request.

Ford Racing knew the stock supercharger pulley on the cobra jet was going to be a issue and this is what they are going to do:
2007 cobra jet has a 2.3L eaton supercharger
2010 cobra jet has a 3.4L whipple supercharger and this supercharger is bad *** and will move a ton of air!

My point Dave is along the lines that you increased the supercharger size almost 50% - did you increase HP by 50%? Don't think so. The Whipple screws are not as efficient as the TVS, they have to be much larger to realize the airflow and HP increases like you have seen.
