I just read on the .90 section that they are parking rigs at the Nascar track. Any truth to the rumors?

I just got off the phone with Randy Mans, they are parking SS, stock and all the .90 cars at the NASCAR parking lot across the street. 1.8 miles to the staging lanes, but most would rather be there than stuck in the mud. Glad I could not make it. Dyno

they let the alcohol cars park over on the asphalt pitroads and the word is that we will have to stay over at the round de round track all weekend since they have their awnings out and it would not be easy to maneuver over there!!they are allowing all the cars over here to be towed to the back pit gate though.

Lyn, I believe there is a special parking area for the All Stars. Is that inside ,or out?
Any word on the teardown / certification?

Any truth to the rumor that they are sending Stockers home and anyone else can pull out of the event?

Lyn is correct. Only the alcohol cars, Comp eliminator and the Allstars were allowed into the pits. The grass pits were very wet. All of the remaining sportsman racers were pitted across the street at the Chicagoland Speedway. We were told that we could tow our cars across the street and on to the staging lanes, which is approximately 2 miles. We were also given the option of leaving and transferring. Since towing wasn't an option for me since I was by myself and without a golf cart, I chose the later. With condition of the grass pits, it's obvious NHRA had little option. I did see a certain sportsman team back their rig into the line for pro pit parking and proceed into the track, presumably to park with their pro teamates.
