I just saw on NHRA's and another web site that almost all of the classes are filled for this week-end at the NHRA's version of PINKS All Out down in Atlanta. Be interesting to see how the spectators respond to this event.

Will there be anyone there who can give us a report on the action, and on how well the event does or doesn't come off. If this thing takes off, it could really change the NHRA landscape in the future. Just thinking out loud,,,,Danny Durham

You have to run your car all out. What's wrong with that? Lets see what your car can run "balls to the wall" without worring about going to the barn.

Nothing wrong with that....I just dont think the fast guys with legal NHRA class cars will want to show what they have and most think the PINKS style deal is a joke except to the street race and bracket crowd.

Where is everyone coming up with Pinks? What does that have to do with real heads up racing, or this series for that matter? If you have ever been to an ORSCA race and watched classes like OL 10.5, Limited Street, and EZ Street, it is far from Pinks stuff. If they can get good turn outs for the classes (which looking at the entry list, they do for Atlanta) I think it will be a good thing for people that want to see heads up racing. ORSCA can put on a show and depending on how NHRA influences that show will IMO decide how sucessful it is.

Isn't it still shoe polish racing without the shoe polish. You have an index to run on that you can't go under, right? Whats all out about that? We have the North West Pro Street Assoc. here in Div. 6 that has the same classes. I know for a fact a lot of guys run it soft. Some by more then a second. Not much all out to it.

OL 10.5, Limited Street, and EZ Street is Heads up.....no shoe polish there. I think it is going to be a good event. The fields are full except for one index class...
NHRA couldn't even get more than 8 cars for T/S at the Nat. event. Whats up with that? Since ORSCA is running the drag racing portion (and NHRA keeps their hands out of it) it will be a bad ***** show. |

Yes that is what he means. Outlaw 10.5, Limited Street, EZ Street, and Modified Street are heads up no breakout classes, first one to the stripe wins flat out, balls out, no letting off to save an index or worrying about getting lead added , real heads up racing. They also have some index classes (4 different ones I think) that will be ran like the .90 classes.
