Unhappy Re: 2011 Dodge Challenger V10 Drag Pak

I like new technology but this is getting ridiculous. If they are doing this to show case their products they should have looked at the spectators in the stands for S/SS at indy.Other than a few people watching family members they are empty, just killing it for the people who like it for what it is,performance based racing. The cars are soooo far from stock they might as well be funny cars.Carbon this lexan that 18 inch intakes, blowers, nitrous(not yet verified)where does it end.I will say this in show room stock condition these elephants are not the fast stock cars they are trying to make you believe.Racing is changing, not all for the better.

The 2011's will have all sorts of new engine options... I won't let those other cats out of the bag yet, But the 2011 cars are coming race ready...

Consequently So you won't have to wait so long to see one a track near you. Or in the lane next to you.

So, be afraid.... Be very afraid!

Should be an a/sa or aa/sa car as well as super stock. We got one of those in a viper body already. Ran 9.20 @ 148. Course the glide will slow it down. I guess all you Chevrolet guys can go crazy now. Why don't you use your energy to solicit Chevrolet to get in the game and then yall would not have to complain. Problem solved. And Chad, 425 is too high. Who knows it might be a turkey.

Of course, my bad Jeff. I just assumed that making a little over .8 hp/cid wasn't a problem.................apparently I over estimated the Chrysler engineering dept. lol

A Powerglide??? And the CJs are also available with a "C2" PG. The OEMs haven't produced any cars with less than a 4 speed auto for what-20+ years? Apparently they have too much power for a 3 speed?
Yet the pre 69 GM small block cars or 66 and older big blocks in stock don't get the option of changing to a 3 speed.... Hmmmm
