Geo's Black & White - Tokyo Rose '70 (?) NOVA ended up here in Montana back in the mid '70's.
It was owned by a couple of guys named Taylor & Moudree out of Bozeman, Montana.
They continued to race it as a SS/IA-JA.

That car was damn quick and fast when compared to some of the other "locals" of the time.
I think it was Taylor that operated 'Speed Equipment World' speed shop on there East Main in Bozeman at the time.

They in turn sold it to Dick Erlandson from Lewistown, MT who painted it red and white, kind of along that previous black and white theme. Dick ran the car as a SS/KA for about 10 years....

Then it went to the Billings area, where it got a complete freshen up to become an E.T. Bracket car...
and it was painted a solid bright red.

I don't have any idea where it might be today?

I know it's probably been mentioned here in these posts somewhere, but there's been a hell of a long thread on Jr.Stockers over on the Jalopy Journal HAMB...

Don't tell me these earlier days aren't missed and appreciated!!!

I'm happy to see this era discussed here on ClassRacer where it should be also.

I'm in process of building a new car to emulate an early Jr.Stocker.
It won't be totally exact / era parts, etc. but it will certainly have the look and feel of the '60's, and I'm sure it will be a hell of a lotta fun when it's finished.

One person I would like to mention is Ben Wenzel for extreme perseverance. To win a second Wally 43 years after the first is just awsome.

Tommy,
You might want to check out Bill "Redman" Floyd's pics if you haven't already.

The angle stage that was talked about was known as the" Bristol Stage" I guess the southern boys started doing at Bristol Dragway. George Cureton attended the Cecil Co div event this year and we talked a good while. He looks just as he did 30yrs ago. Wish I could say that. A great guy and has my vote also.

I believe Dick has it back and is running it again, solid Red with some 80's era graphics.
