Default Mufflers???

Does NHRA require mufflers in super street?
I'm going to the div 7 race and don't want to fail tech. I currently don't run with mufflers in the other series.
Thanks

When the stock and Super stock guys refsed to put htem on their cars NHRA had no choice but to quite enforcing the rules for the Super classes. They couldn't enforce rules for one class but not for another.

Mufflers have never been "required". ....It's whatever you had to do to meet the 95 Db requirement ,some cars needed only perforated cones in the tube ........I havent had mufflers on my car for 6 years, and I will never put mufflers on my car again . .... I took them off right after a chunk of the internal baffel broke out and cut a brand new slick at the top end of the track., NOT FUN .........Tom.

Been running them since I've owned my Roadster.. almost 10 years.. but since I have to replace the headers this year, it looks like a nice set of merged collectors for me.. if I'm questioned, I'll quote Goldman, cause the older I get, the more he makes sense.. IMAGINE THAT!!
