Thumbs up Re: trans

Probably more info about the car would help. Hp, weight and your budget all play in here.

In general, it is hard to beat a Jerico. If you can, buy a new one.

If you are looking at a used one, make sure to research it before you buy one.

The case number and a call to Jerico can help.

Exclamation Re: trans

Sounds like fun. If there are no rules involved, I would choose a Liberty for it. My opinion for what it is worth. Again, there are deals occassionally used, but if you are looking research before you buy. New is best if you can do it.

I had a 2240 lb Tbird with a lenco that went 8.80. I chose Lenco because I figured I would run a single disc iron clutch with a non-adjustable plate. The Lenco, with the internal clutch packs, lightened the hit on the tires between the gears. Used a delay box and an air cyl on the clutch arm with a hyd throw out bearing. Plus the lenco is just a cool look in the car.

I am going to run a Gforce in my SS car but I would still go Lenco in a light bracket car.
