Default 2011 Ken Moses Super Comp Association Schedule

January 20th, 2011 – The Competition Photos Super Comp Association will have a slight overhaul for the 2011 season and will become the Ken Moses Race Transmissions Super Comp Association. Along with the change of the Series name we will also be introducing the “Mike’s Service Center #1 Qualifying Award” at all event during the 2011 season. The Mike's Service Center #1 Qualifier Award is an added bonus for all racers during qualifying. The driver closest to running 8.900 in qualifying will receive a $ 25.00 bonus.
The season will mirror the Mid Atlantic Super Gas Association to help off-set those teams who run in both .90 classes. The Super Comp Series will run at all the races except for the Super Gas event at Numidia Dragway in June. The series will make its first ever visit to Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, Md on May 21st & 22nd to kick off the 2011 season. This will be a great warm-up race for anyone who would like to test and tune before the Lucas Oil NHRA Divisional race the following weekend at Maple Grove Raceway. After a two month break the series will then travel to Maple Grove Raceway for the “2nd Annual “Sportsman Circuit Shootout” on July 9th & 10th. Maple Grove Track President Lex Dudas has made this a great show for the .90 sportsman stars of the NHRA and is expecting a good turn-out for this annual event. Next up for the series is the first of two visits to Atco Raceway on August 13th & 14th. This event will fall the weekend after the NHRA Lucas Oil Event at Atco and the weekend before the Cecil County Lucas Oil Event. We will be working with Joe Sway to see if you can leave your trailers at the track following the Divisional Race. The final race of the season will travel back to Atco Raceway on September 17th & 18th. This race will close out the season and crown the 2011 season champions.
Entry fee for ALL EVENTS will be $ 65.00 plus the TRACK ENTRY (Could range from 30 to 35 bucks). Based on a 32 car field it is $ 1,000.00 to win so the MORE CARS we get the more it is to pay out to the winner, r/up, etc. For information on the series please contact Tom Boyle @ 1-610-399-9319 Mon to Fri between 5 to 9pm or Rob Keister @ ReKeister@aol.com. See you at the track!!

Tom, are these 2 day races or 2 races per weekend (a race per day)?

On each weekend, there is a race on Sat. ($35 to the track when you enter and then $65 to me at my trailer. Then on Sun. you must go to the track entrance and pay them another $35 and pay me another $65). There are two seperate races, one Sat. and one Sun. THE $65 EACH DAY GOES BACK TO THE RACERS, 100%. Its sad to hear these guys bitchin' on this site, and yet 95% of them do NOTHING about it. I guess racers aren't any different then the rest of Americans: Bitch and moan and then bend over. It's also a shame we only had 32 paid members last year and averaged 24 to 28 cars at a race. Years ago before the circuit disbanded we would have 50 paid members and average 32 cars at a race. back then we paid about $5000 to the top three points earners. Last year was $1200 to #1, $600 to #2, $400 to #3 and $300 to #4 and #5. Thanks to Ken and Debbie Moses for stepping up to the plate with some financial support and helping to hopefully get back to where we once were. 2011 is looking much better Thanks also to last years sponsers: Jeff Livezey,Bob Phillips at ACD, Bruce Combs, Tom Slater, Mike and Frank Lauria at Mike's Service Center, and Jeff Stricker at Road Runner Race Fuels.
