Aubrey, 82-92 Camaro come on... the new Camaro takes quite sometime to get use too but compare to a Fiat 500 it's a Picasso(in his later life). I'm sure that the people at Fiat wanted to associate J'LOs wide rear with the 500 in their commercials.lol Like I've said before, the ugliest North American Car from the past are works of art compared to the pieces of crap being sold now. Oh heck yeah, Claude !
It seemed to go hand in hand with the MASS INTRUSION of front wheel drive junk from all the manufacturers. A fundamental design requirement in an automobile, in respect to proportions, can be seen in the postion of the road wheels ( OK, a little European there ). Basically, the distance from the front lower edge of the front wheel well, to the edge of the front bumper, can not be greater than the distance from the lower rear of the front wheel well, to the front lower edge of the door. If it is longer, the car has the appearance of tipping over itself ( besides p*** poor weight distribution ). I recently read an article by some long time, big shot car critic, who cited what he has observed. Basically, he said that people like cars to look like us .... ! I thought it was kind of silly. HHHMMM... maybe not ? You start messing around with headlight postions ( or number of them ), grille postion ( or lack there of ), countour of the roof, etc..... and you're going to offend people. The assteck / avalanche... a case in point. chunks of junk all over them. People don't look like that ! I've been meaning to write an article myself, on this subject. New vehicles... seemingly GM in particular... WHAT THE HELL is with the "colours" ? ... or should I say complete absence of them ? I mean really... you can have grey, charcoal grey, light blue grey, light green grey, dark brown grey, dusty grey, goldish grey..... FFFFFFFFFF#%@ING GREY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whoa take a pill here ! ! yup If it's not a Super Bird / Daytona .... it don't need no big ***** snout on it !

Ugly as sin, but what a claim to fame.
The "original" Mopar Drag Pack This particular car was a radio and heater delete with a 3 on the tree.

Oh, OK. There are uglier cars than these AMC's. But wagons sure have good "natural" weight distribution. Not that these 2 really need it. lol

I had a friend who was an diesel mechanic and own a Hugo, well after they closed all the dealerships in the west he bought a couple of diesel models and since he didn't care who saw him driving it because it was the ugliest thing he ever owned he started tuning them for incredible fuel mileage, he never bought fuel ever again since his brother was making bio-fuel(which I have been using in my Bus Motorhome since 2005). Since he worked in a Caterpillar garage and the car gets hit by the occasional hit by swinging blades in the yard, he finds that after 400.000 km he's quite happy with his ugly duckling. (in his garage sits a like new 71 440 Charger RT with 25.000 miles on it), Myron congratulation. CR
