Slate I guess the mattingly’s feel differently then you and Nicky. Class wins are still important to some. Everyone gets to race how they want that is what makes stk and ss. I hate to brake it to you guys but 80 pounds is not going to make you and Nick bad drivers. Merry Christmas and congrats on your new baby.

Don't want to change the subject, but a 396/325 HP motor in a Camaro seems to run pretty well, yet the same engine got 5HP off in a Chevelle?

Larry is dead on with this one...I'm pretty sure Slate ran Ram Air all year... this is the Hebron run that hit the triggers

But this one doesn't have fresh air and it went the fastest. I assume its LS1 cuz its claimed as 2000 on the sheet.

Also, if you check The Dragster Issue #38 pg 97, there is a picture of both of the cars in the SportsNats class winner pictures next to each other. One with a flat, one with ram air....
I'm pretty sure NHRA just missed the separation between the two in 1999..... It will get corrected, both hit it, and both get power. Sorry boys

They will probably say the ram air hood was blocked, therefore negating any performance gain.

I have a ram air hood myself and forgot to remove my towel in there once years ago.Definately slowed me down!
