You need to add quite a bit more when you are 2000 miles away instead of the 200 miles away (change the $300 to $1800)

But I think you have the rest about right

I won class last year at Indy and went to the fifth round in the eliminator and still lost a $1000. But it still is a good time every year. Thats why I go.

Hey, thanks for all the hard work and money spent. My wife and I only attend for Stock/Super Stock class eliminations. She digs the big wheel stands! The rest of the week we hit all the car shows and open houses. All the pro cars and other classes are just " filler".

Gas for the tow rig was $0 .99 OR LESS and a new pick-up truck cost less than 20k.
One time I witnessed a company writing out checks at the scale for people who had won.

I even remember a Quaker State deal, at ANY National Event if you used there oil and ran the decal you got 2 CASES of oil FREE!
And who can forget the HOT WINSTON GIRLS Handing out samples & "asking a few questions".
Now... I don't smoke but having those HOT chicks at my trailer didn't hurt my image or my morale at all
