Respect to team K-B, they all work up until the last second, and maybe the driving suffers for it.
Many drivers and owners are chair weights, and I suppose that is the way the sport is going.
For my respect, they need to know every aspect of the hot rod, before they dump the clutch.
If all you know is Sharpie point quality, then you are just a celebrity, updating your blog on how great you are.
Thanks for informing us who couldn't get enough blog pictures. It looks like they need to play the video on how her boots were so shaking, that she deep staged the Chevy on Sunday, and went red because of it. Shaking in your boots is hardly bad ***.

Supposedly, Erica was asked by her sponsor to take the picture. The CEO's son took the picture. What would you do? Greg is an intense competitor but doesn't handle himself very well in defeat. Most intense competitors don't. It was still a poor decision to wait several weeks and then say something to a reporter instead fo talking to Erica first. This should have been handled in private, not public and Greg blew it. All the while the advantage goes to Allen Johnson who is running strong, doesn't have this kind of distraction and looks like a champ even if he did throw a water bottle after losing an important round. At least he handles defeat in public much better than Greg.

Ron you are correct. Drama sells and causes attention. ESPN try's to stir stuff up all the time between teams and drivers. Pro-Stock doesn't get much love for air time. It's sad but the reason why they have been able to get as much air time here lately is because of the story line of man vrs woman, under dog vrs class domination. Americans LOVE underdog stories! Lots of movies are centered around them(like "Rudy").

Drama gains attention. I dislike drama but I understand others feed off of it. Look at prostock motorcycle the fued between the Harley's and everyone else. Gets their faces/sponsors on the camera. I hope this brings more attention to the class to get people interested in it.

We appreciate everyone's feedback regarding Greg Anderson’s comments this past weekend in Sonoma. Erica Enders and her team are worthy competitors that we all hold in high regard.

We have made Greg aware of your comments, and we truly understand the negative feelings this has evoked. Greg will address the situation with Erica shortly, and we look forward to watching their renewed competition on the racetrack.

I agree that Anderson should not have made the Karma statement during a broadcast. I understand your sponsors request for a picture. However if it was true that it was the sponsors son requesting a pic then there is not a professional obligation for the pic while giving a non-professional pose knowing that it would make Anderson mad.

For the waiting part of Anderson, isn't this the first time they had met in a round since her win? Or even perhaps maybe he just saw the picture like some others did?

I understand tempers flare but IMO it is not fair to say Johnson and Enders actions are perfectly ok while Anderson's was not. All of them had their moments and no one is guilt free.

It's difficult to judge people from their TV persona. Getting to know some of them personally some people's opinions might change(or it could also solidify how they are viewed).
Even on here some people are viewed one way but are completely different once you get to know them.

For those that don't know the story, I guess Greg had been saying for a while that he didn't want to be the one who lost to her when she finally won a race. So I just added a line on his trailer.

I believe that the CEO requested the picture and his son actually took the picture. I still think Greg should have gotten together with Erica before this happened. It has definitely brought some bad ink to Summit and for the team.
I do not know Greg personally so I can only go by what I have seen at the track and on TV and I don't particularly care for him. I also used to feel that way about Warren Johnson until I got to spend some time personally with him away from the track so who knows, maybe one day my opinion will change about him. I also don't know Erica and have not been real impressed with her either and could really care less about their situation but if all the diatribe and musing help the ratings and put more fans in the stand then maybe it's a good thing. As far as Allen Johnson, I have met Allen, Roy, and Allen's wife and they are a great group. Roy went out of his way to approach me and a friend at Memphis a few years ago and invited us to their pits after jokingly asking me for my ice cream I was eating while he walked by us in the pits. He invited us over to eat watermelon and hang out. Talking with Roy and Allen reinforced the good ole boy image I had of them but also, after talking with them I realized just how competitive they are, just like Warren, Jason and many other NHRA competitors. Intense competitiveness is quite alright by me butdepending on how you display it, it may come back to bite you in the arse, just like it did Greg. JMT.

Excellent post Ron!
There has been a few guys I've ran into some Pros at the track and I must say some have been an absoulute pleasure(like Glidden, Wilkerson and Beckman) and others that I don't care for at all.

Bobby, I agree with you 100%. I have been a Greg Anderson fan since 2003. I go to 5 - 7 National events each year, so I have spoken to him countless times. He is always very friendly, accomodating, and polite. So many people say that he is an a**hole, but they never specify why they feel that way. Maybe someone will elaborate on their opinion of him.
