Maybe so,but at least there's no one to bust *alls about noise.Someone could have big money races there and run all night.A lot of possibilities for an innovative owner.

It says 'all concrete' track so I'm wondering is that just the racing surface or does that include the shut down area as well...I guess it could always be converted to a 1/4 mile track by extending it with pavement...And Imagine Racing All Night Long with no one complaining!!!

Don't know about that Ed... It has a Gray Bar Motel next door. do a Google Earth fly to: Wichita Raceway Park
Iowa Park, TX ED, Notice the nice double fenced area to the north of the track.. Yep that is a prison. Looks like there is a lot of concrete and pavement there at the tracks.

The track was 1/4 mile in the 60s..The pavement is still there with grass growing through it..It makes for nice "extra" shut off area if a racer needs it..The track hooks very good, smooth track..But yes the shut down is asphalt as it was redone 2-3 years ago and is smooth as well..

They have a pic of Eddie Hill from the early 60s on the starting line and i think it shows his car with dual rear wheels and he tore up the asphalt when it left the starting line..
