I need to have an original 66 Chevelle bumper rechromed. It needs to be as close to factory as possible. Can anyone suggest a company we could visit in N,C. or Va.? I know we have a lot of muscle car guys that race on this site. Thanks for any help, gotta see their work first. P.M. me if you so desire.

Brian, one of my customers just had some very nice chrome work done by a shop in N.C.
I'll try to call him tonight and get the info. They were very reasonable in price considering the quality of the work. If it's an ultimate show quality piece that needs to be perfect, I'd send it to Pauls Plating in Evans City,PA I had plating done there for my Willys 20 years ago ,and it's still show quality !

x2 on Tri City Plating. They also have a good inventory of cores on hand for plating if needed.

Brian , my guy had his work done in Concord at Chrome East.
He thinks they do mostly small parts, and motorcycle stuff . not sure about bumpers.

Brian: Advance Plating in Nashville Tennessee is perhaps the best in the nation - ultimate show quality and they can plate just about anything. Not cheap but the best!

I can also enthusiastically recommend Advanced Plating. They did the rear bumper for my car and several observers have described it as looking like jewelry. They are not cheap but I feel the charges were not out of line for the result. They will quote a non-firm price over the phone however, once you decide to send it they will thoroughly evaluate and give you a written, to-the-penny, quote that you must authorize before they start work. My job took approximately five weeks, including shipping.

Brian,
Call Hanlon Plating in Richmond, 1-804-233-2021. I have been told they do excellent work and have been in business since 1975. One of my "over the winter projects" is to get the bumpers on the 'wagon re-done, so I'm going to try Hanlon's. Lew
