Hey Jeremy, we were not at the rain-out event, but, we did run there the week before on Saturday. We were impressed with the amount of track prep work they did, been going there for years, and got some of the best 60 foot times ever that day, too bad the lenco slipped in high gear, or would have gone even quicker. Got the lenco fixed, should really fly this time out, hope to see you there. Thanks

We are really excited about it as well. I have also been made aware that they are going to be having a test and tune session out there tonight. I am not sure what time or how much it is... but if anyone is interested I just wanted to let you all know about it.

Sunday was great (and HOT) got 2 time trials, 1st run, starting line was so sticky it bogged our car on the launch (first time that ever happened) but stayed stuck all the way down thru there, running only 6.60 but with big speed of 123 mph !! (best ever mph, so far) 2nd run track temp was more than 130 degrees, and still ran 6.63 @ 121 mph, too bad our starter had other plans when 1st round was pulled up to race, didn't get to talk to Jeremy, but saw him run, nice car, good job, and ran into Ramona in the tower, she's very sweet. Also heard the guys that lease the track are trying to renew, as the property has not been sold, we love that track hope to run there again.

Talking Re: Central Florida guy's

Thanks to all of the guys that came out to the event on Sunday. I hope you all enjoyed the race. It is your support that will keep that track alive, because they now know that it can happen. Thanks to all you again.... next on the agenda... fix the sound system... !!!!

Jeremy Waibel

P.S. It was neat to see another family have 3 generations racing at Lakeland... Congrats Summerton Family...
( it took the Waibel family 30 years to get 3 generations on that track and you all made it happen in one day.. that is what I call effecient)

Good Luck Master Sgt Summerton!!! See you when you get home !!! Division 2 will have you in their prayers!!!!!

We have repaired the "mystery" starting problem that plagued us at Lakeland, and prevented us from running first round. What we found was the copper wire fatigued and failed about one inch from the terminal end, the problem was INSIDE the insulation, and could not be seen until I cut it open (had tested bad on OHM meter anyway) I hate to think what would have happened if this was on the ignition circuit, probably have blown the intake manifold right off engine, this could happen to any of us, this was good quality wire, and was about 3 years old. We are ready to run again, any word on the track re-opening ?? We agree about the PA system, if it wasn't for the nice guy pitted by us, riding his scooter up to hear what was going on, we'd never have heard anything. Don't even know his name, he ran K/Stock in a blue/gray late model camaro (please thank him if anybody knows him) and P.S. --- Jeremy, sorry to hear of your health scare, glad you are going to be okay. Called the track and the phone is disconnected, if anyone hears anything please let us know, post here, PM me, or visit our website: www.BackMotor.com has e-mail address there too, THANKS

Anyone who ran at Lakeland 7-22-2007 (Sunday) the pictures are posted at: http://racingscenemag.com/racingscene/index.htm our car is in there, great action shots, we are picture 46 and 48, quality is excellent, a little pricey, but, really nice, good job by their photographer, he must be very brave (standing in front of ME doing a burnout) and video from previous event is posted at: www.BackMotor.com Thanks
