Unfortunately, this is what the E-Town bracket racers have had to deal with for years. Historically, about 1/3 of the points days fall on a holiday...

I guess with scheduling, and trying to miss all the other races, there are only so many days available.

Why not run this race one day earlier? You could race well into the night, and get home for Mother's Day. Easter Sunday and Mother's Day have been off limits for many reasons!

Mufflers only on Saturdays at E-town, except for special events. They only get so many extra noise days, so they won't waste it on an S/SS combo.

I just looked at E-town's schedule and it seems like they have less "Noise" days than in the past. If I'm not mistaken they had both "Night Of Thrills" and the "Jet Car / Pro Mod Nationals", now its just "Night of Thrills".

So it sucks that they can't find more time or a better date for a combo race. But looking at the bright side of things, as Stk / SS racers here in the Northeast we already have plenty of options between divisionals, nationals, ECSSA, ASRA, and the IHRA. That or nothing says you can't go bracket racing every now and then. One lousy date that doesn't even count for points in any organization won't kill your year if you can't make it.

I agree, we have many options, I am just disappointed I cannot support this race on this date. I wish my friend John Hedenburg and Etown good luck for the weekend.
