As far as your slogan ... Pure Stockers are actually "Stockers" ... the other cars that run under Stock now are really SS and maybe even Comp cars. $1K lifters, transmissions that live for how long?, turn-key run 1.0+ under lifting at the 1000' for $100K, ...

Hey Dan ... off to Ennis in the morning for Super Chevy. New CCW wheels and tires came last night. 16" X 11" rears with MT ET streets and 16" x 4" fronts with Firestones. Lost 42 lbs. in total reciprocating weight for all four and rolling resistance on the front with the skinnies. Here's the best part ... cold front came through yesterday and DA this morning was NEGATIVE 500' and it's supposed to be the same tomorrow. Guess who will be first in the line in the staging lanes hoping to rip off an 11-second pass (still 200 lbs. overweight and without headers)? And if I don't go in the 11s Mrs. Kaufman will give it a try; she is 120+ lbs. lighter than me.

Wonder if anyone has ever went 11s in a Pure Stock car?

No 11-second pass today but a better 12.22 @ 110 with a 1.64 60'. DA was 1369' and track prep was horrendous. Spun badly every time; could feel it when it left. Time for headers and a Pure Stock cam from Bullet.

1957 H/PS is owned by William "Poochie" Langston and the car won a division 9 race in 2004. There is also a mid 70's green Nova that runs Pure Stock in division 9. can't recall his name right now

Nice pic Steve !!!
Great performance even at 12.20sec, 110 is rockin for a Pure Stocker!
Sounds like you left a couple tenths on the starting line !
11's sure to come and a new National Record !!

Brister !
Thanks for the information that helps a lot..

Love the fact that too many racers are afraid of foreign competition !!

Har Har ( my Pirate laugh)

They can't handle the TRUTH !!
