You might be on to something there, Jeff. I noticed the line under the picture says: "Mike Mayhew 275 STK, 2208 SS " Could this be Mike in Drag or rather FLAG? :~)

"I THOUGHT the FI cars had a big advantage a number of years ago thats why they were seperated. To my knowledge thje FI cars can run what they want to with the computer set ups, they allready shift by themselves now they get to beat up on the non computerized carburated cars that do every thing by a human being! "
Now, granted, I have only owned a F.I. car for a short period , but from what I have learned so far .. at least with my car , is that it runs in a "constant state-- static type of tune" ...i.e. the computer is doing nothing with regards to the tune-up during a pass. This seems to make the car more consistent. Could I run the car so that the computer alters the tune-up during a run .. yes I could, but why would you want to do that ... ?? EFI does offer many advantages , but if you compare the adjustability/tuneability compared to a car with a carb and a digital MSD ignition ... I don't think you will find too much. Mike you are right. I have race one of these cars on and off for 7 years. They are great when they work. when they have a problem you can spend hours on the dyno and on a scope finding the problem. Also for a bonus you get the .07 fast run once in a while!!! They are fun cars but I'm not sure how much better.

Tough crowd here. lol
Sorry she isn't up to your standards Jeff, but she's just a friend, not a model. A fun, happy friend. ![]() Here's a pic taken the following year at a July 4th get together. Maybe it will put your mind's at ease. ![]() |

In terms of what to expect as far as racing goes - check out the other thread For anything else this puts new meaning to the term "lucky dog" in NASCAR |
