Terry, first off, let me say that I always loved that car. I remember reading the articles and looking at all the pictures, even the lace painting. I guess you have a couple of choices. 1) If you have the room you should keep all the stuff as a reminder of a really cool part of your life. 2) If the new owner will keep all the stuff with the car, then he should probably get it. The biggest problem being he would just give it away or sell it on eBay. Or, you could make other choices, but these ,I think, are the primary 2. Just my thoughts, but good luck on the decision.

What is the new owner going to do with the car? Is he a racer, is he a collector, or is he just interested in turning the car for a profit? Hold on to the items for a while to see what happens to the car.

Give them to Ted?
On second thought, maybe you already have? Hope things are going well, Terry. I know I should call you sometime. Last edited by Dave Gantz; 02-13-2014 at 08:19 PM. |

Allow the new owner to compensate you, and then make copies of the history for the car. Keep your original items and designate a chain of ownership in the event something happens to you. There is nothing cooler than winning with the car...except the "history" surrounding the car. Making copies, and/or sharing on the internet are good ways of preserving the history. Having the important history in more than one place helps to insure it won't be lost or destroyed from one mishap or incident.
