The passing of Terry Welsh

Just wanted to let everyone know Terry Welsh passed away Friday from a heart attack. He was a close friend of mine and as many know partnered with Mike Smith on many Stockers including Super Stock Magazine Project 6 Pack. He will be missed. Jerry Hillier

Jerry - I am sorry to hear this. My sincere condolences to you and to his family. He was a great guy and will indeed be missed.

I remember one Gatornational trip we took. We were going to the track one A.M. and my pickup started smoking from underneath. Well Linda, Mike Smith and I started running the other way and Terry ran toward the thing and dove under it. Turned out to be the starter. He stayed behind to fix the problem while we went to the track in Mike's truck. Not only a great guy, but he had a dry wit that always made me laugh. R.I.P. Terry...................

Terry was a great guy. I cant remember how many times I raced them guys, but it was a lot. Him and Mike are up there talking racing as we go on. Two great guys we lost. RIP Buddy........

I will miss him too. Always looked forward to seeing him at the track or a Carlisle Event. He was a wealth of information to us young guys who were not around to live the "Glory Days" of Drag Racing. He kept tabs on a lot of old race cars and drivers. Vietnam Vet, too.
