RIP Leo, Always enjoyed listening to him announce the sportsman classes as he was very knowledgeable about the cars and the drivers and their families.

Goodbye old friend.. His voice, and amazing knowledge of Class Cars was so very, very unusual. My first race in a Superstock car was at Quaker City in Ohio. Leo was announcing and after the days activities had settled, he showed up in our pit spot. Leo,John, and I sat out there under the stars, getting to know one other, for hours..

Leo always had a smile on his face and a kind word. He was a strong supporter of sportsman racing and will be sorely missed. RIP my friend...

Words can't explain how we feel. Leo will be in our hearts and minds at every race. We will miss his cheerful voice and smiling face. May God hold him in his hands and provide him with the peace that he can only provide. Cheers Elaine and Mark.

I'm not quite sure what to say, Division 3 has lost another great member of the family. Leo had a very distinct voice that I will never forget. He knew everyone, what class they ran, what engine combo it had, and he never forgot to mention the family members all without looking at the computer screen. Rest in peace Leo, glad I could spend some time with you at the Norwalk Nationals last year when you announced Competition Eliminator for the last time.
For all that would like to know. Don and Teresa Stratton will be hosting a get together in honor of Leo at their dealership Friday evening from 6 to 10 PM for anyone that is going to the viewing. The Strattons will also be providing food to all that come. Stratton Chevrolet 16050 State Route 14 Beloit, OH 44609
