I had a 66 post car with a 283. I used early Camaro headers. The steering box on both cars was in the rear by the #'s 5&7 cylinders. There is so much room in those cars that it is possible a small tube Chevelle header might fit. Also, try 68-72 Nova headers. We also once installed a 396 in a 66 and used headers that came off a 396 Camaro.Good luck with your project!

My 1969 Impala had a SBC 305/255.
Jere Stahl sent me a 1 5/8 headers from a Chevelle and a Camaro. Not sure which side but they fit. D |

Hooker makes a few different models/styles for the '68 "B" body, Mike. I've got a set of their Super Comp's on my wagon. The listing says they fit most every body-style (Camaro/Nova/Chevelle), but that might mean it's more of a "universal" header and they modified the design accordingly. I looked at a Shoenfeld header for a Camaro, but no guarantee it would fit the big car! If you can Tig weld you may be able to get a better fit.
Good luck with your project!
