Hello All.
So the New Year is almost here. Racing is only 4 1/2 months away for D1. Being Z Max National the end of April, & VMP National the middle of May. 5 1/2 Months away for the 1st Divisional @ MG. I remember not to long ago D1 had their 1st race in early April. The last D1 race in mid Sept. Now the 1st D1 race is the end of May @ MG, & the last race for D1 is 1st of Oct @ VMP. O Boy FUN FUN FUN Looking towards the End of the season. The US Nationals is 1 week before the New England race. (do you think this may hurt the D1 turn out) Then 1 week later is the MG Nationals. Skip A week then D2 Divisional @ Galot MP Then VMP D1 race the following weekend. Then Z Max National the Following weekend. Then the following weekend D2 race at Rockingham. O Boy only the STRONG will survive. Then for the guys still in the hunt go west my friend. ![]() So how does everybody feel about Racing this year? Are you ready, is this your year ? Personally I will be ready to test by March. As far as this year goes, well we are all presently tied for 1st place. I would just like to get back in the top 10 again, top 5 would be even better. Of course the D1 Championship would be the icing on the cake. Did you say CAKE gotta go C YA. LOL Happy New Years to All. Just a 1st rd Duck looking for a win Cal SST 1177 |

I sympathize about the long wait.
Out here in D7, I'll be racing in two and a half weeks. Sometimes I miss spring and fall after moving from New York, but I've never really missed the winter. |

D6 checking in here
I got frustrated with crap performance out of my new iron heads last year and pulled out in August. Changed bearings, hand filed rings, machined the manifold to match the heads and switched to 3/8 push rods. I put my Old Reliable Nothing to Shout About converter back in and loosened up the clutch packs a bit. Got the hood painted and striped to match the car, too. Switched back to power brakes and locked out the distributor again as the stud for the advance curve bushing was stripped out. Cleaned out the wiring and built a console for the center to move the switch panel off the dash for more of a stock look. Got the lower dash repainted and will paint the cage after I clean everything out. A lot is done that is usually not by now. The car fires on demand and rolls in and out of the garage fine. Makes very good evil sounds. Extended Tech Inspection is March 9 at Bremerton (1/8 mile this year) and a few weeks later at Pacific. For the first time in history I'll make it. Looking forward to making class for SS/CS and earning grade points. Yes, I'm stoked!!

Fielding 2 cars in 2019, both currently apart, lot of work to do. Plan is to be ready by April 1 to start testing new SST entry and put a few laps on the SC car before the MG Divisional.
