If anybody here is interested in any older pics of Pontiac race cars, I just discovered this FB page.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/vintagepontiacdrag/

There are pics of most all my favorite Pontiac drag cars, from the '70's & 80's.

Nice pictures!

Had rolls of slides from 1976 Sports, brought them to the local Osco drugstore for developing and they "lost" them. Had a bunch of John Hagen's 'Cuda and others.
Last time I ever brought film/slides somewhere that did not do on premises developing.

Sorry I didn't take any Pontiac Pictures (or any other makes at that event) I had recently made the switch from Chevys to Mopar in 1977. Was trying to swallow up as much information about the Mopar race cars as I could. Especially the Maxwedge's and Hemi's.

This Particular 63 Dodge was driven by a guy named Phil Turner. A/SA aluminum front end running high 11.40's and low 50's. Immaculate car with a beautiful red interior. Wish I had taken more pictures of it. One thing about it that caught my attention was the shipping and handling decal mounted to the top center of the windshield. The next time I saw a decal like that was on Marlin Bogner's blue 64 Plymouth SS/DA Maxwedge car at Indy sometime in the 90's. Hope the decal picture I attached is legible. Thanks for looking, Craig.

I was there in '78 driving my SS/IA Red 1968 Camaro. No lettering on it. Polished wheels on all 4 corners. Got runner up to one of Bobby Warrens customers for class named Phil Hardee. Any chance of someone seeing it or taking a picture ?

Phil won class that year, I helped him some during his teardown for class, of course he did all the important stuff. This was a very nice car that was sold a few years later to a collector. I last saw Phil at the 2016 Montgomery points race. He was there as a spectator and now lives in Mobil and plays with his sail boat. One of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet.
