I have a question about this subject. I found my car in class racer info and it says the weight and index,ok.now I see that car got 20hp added a while ago.so where do you find the weight that the car has to be right now.more hp means more weight correct? car is a 2009 6.1 dp manual

Go to the site Dwight listed click on the wt/hp for the your car and it will give you the three classes and the minimum weight for each.

I found the car on the site.its a natural class fx/d min.wgt w/driver 3230.
my question is if I show up at a nhra race,the car with me in it has to be 3230. im just trying to figure this out so I can join in on the fun.

For f/d it's 7.5x 408 plus 170 for the driver for min weight of 3230.

Better to run it in e 3434 min 10.95 index to start till you learn the lay of the land and how much you need to spend to go fast. You can always pull some weight out Just my 2 cents I've been running a drag pak since 2010.

The shipping weight remains the same , even if the engine is refactored . What might change is the natural class . Shipping weight divided by the factored HP equals the natural class .
