Driver receives a red light foul start and the opposing driver is discovered to be in violation of technical rules (including weight, engine displacement, mechanical limitations, of fuel check).
-Driver in violation of technical infraction will be disqualified -driver committing the foul start will be reinstated.

Would the driver who redlighted ONLY be re-instated if he waited by the scales for the non redlight driver to fail? Or would they go get the red light driver to bring him to the scales?

I totally agree with the above, but red light driver passed the scales and went to his pit like most everybody. Now what? Don't think tech boys want every -.000 driver sitting at scales and fuel check waiting for his opponent to pass. Should tech go find red light driver, make him weigh and pass fuel check or just reinstate him?

That was why I thought both would have been disqualified, but I guess not.

This is why if I lose a round I will pull over near the scales and watch to see if the driver that beat me passes weight check

We were always told to not wait at scales on any loosing run many times. Officials always said they would come get us if needed to scale and fuel check.

First or worse, never over until you scale/fuel check!
