Just spoke to Nostalgia and Super Stock racer Joe Ewing's daughter Megan and she told me Joe has Covid 19 and is in the hospital near his home. He contracted it last Thursday or so. According to Megan, he was bad enough for them to administer experimental drugs and he was severely dehydrated. Monday and Tuesday was really bad but today he is much better. They are hoping he has turned the corner. Please say a prayer for Joe , his Family and quick and complete healing from this dreaded virus.

OO Joe is right. I can tell you that from racing him in N/SS.
Get well, Joe, and we'll see you down the road.

Update:
I spoke with Joe this morning, he is optimistic of getting out of the hospital late this week. He thought that he had contacted the covid-19 on a visit to a college to see his granddaughter. It started with nausea and then loss of appetite. He didn't know how much racing he would do if any. He is really weak right now and will probably need so time to rebuild. He made mention of 3 engine shops doing engines for him. He said his nostalgic engine is done. Ernie Neal SS 354 |
