Default Leaded Fuel Ban in Canada ??

I know we got one year, but awhile back on another Forum it was announced that 5 years was a done deal. Maybe I've missed something, but haven't read that anywhere else. Anyone know for sure the current status. Thanks

Apparently it needs to be voted on at parliament some time later this year & is not a done deal. I was told five years by the local V.P. rep. but like you I have heard nothing else since.
If the politicians want to save the race tracks & racing in this country the answer is simple, put the ban in once the U.S. does,no sooner.
If I lived in the States would I flush my entire fuel system twice just to come up & race here?. With fuel prices even higher in Canada & the economy not doing the best down there I would doubt it.

I have been sent numerous mails from persons wanting me to support the use of leaded race gas in Canada. Do you have to be a Canadian citizen for my support to be valid??

I think as a non-citizen your support should be as valid if not more-so if you are travelling into the country and spending outside money when racing.

Thumbs up As a racer from anywhere, your support is

valid and required. It's the same type of govt. knee jerk reaction we always see. Squeeze the little guy at the bottom to gain a few political points. Hopefully we got through to somebody and can get this ban extened until both sides of the border are on the same page. I'll wait for the "official" announcment. Thanks for the replies.

Question Re: Leaded Fuel Ban in Canada ??

I would like to see all Racers from Canada and the US band together. IHRA had an article in DRM but to date I have not seen anything in National Dragster, I wish NHRA would voice an opinion as we all pay memberships.
