Default Steve Dillman

Former Stock ,Super/Stock and long time Super Class racer Steve Dillman passed Oct 4th after a 20 + year battle with cancer. He was the inspiration for about 20 family members involvement in racing and for numerous young men and women to choose fire fighting and emergency response careers. He is my personal hero.

R.I.P. Steve. Prayers for his family. Thank you for helping so many people.

I understand your need to call him your Hero. My wife, whom I lost 4 1/2 years ago to Cancer, was my Hero. Joan's process lasted 14 1/2 years. The fight she put up was amazing. There were many good times, but way too many bad ones. People who have NOT been through the process just don't understand the journey.

Thank you for sharing.

Sad, sad news. I thought of him as a fine man, racer, and friend. One day at IRP, Steve had a broken car and needed to try and get more team points to make the bracket finals. I was out of the points run that year. I gave him my car to try and get him there. For a while I owned the "Stronger Than Dirt" D/S Fairlane he raced so long, long ago. My condolences to you Tommy and the whole family.

Very sad news. I've, proudly, considered Steve a personal friend since the mid sixties. Godspeed Steve and my deepest sympathies to his family.
