Default Anyone withdrawing from STK/US Nats

Ignore the thread below now please...on the list.
If you have issues and cannot make the race I will commiserate with you and award at the same time. Thanks in advance.

The race itself is not at quota quite yet, but the STK category is. If I get in, I will give Ron the best run I can muster for that lil' man. That is 1 race I have never even been to as a fan or driver, no time like the present if there is space.

Map across I40 says 1 day 3 hrs. 27= 32-33 hrs w/ fuel stops and I will rest in a rest area a few hrs maybe twice....and yes I left Seattle 4:30 PM Sunday and pulled into North Vegas at 5:30 PM Monday. And slept from 2:30 AM-9AM N.W. of Boise, ID and hit rush hr traffic there. I love to drive at night more than day but both are good.

Wow, I thought I could pull some long driving stints but you?ve got me beat. Some parts of the country night driving is risky due to the deer (and KY being one of those places), safe travels. MJ is right, there will be withdrawals, although some may happen late Sunday or Monday morning. Indy weather is looking like the bump may be ~.8 under.

I did not get out so the single at Bowling Green is out. STK went to 151 for a while today then back to 150, a lil' bit of shuffling went on. My fault when I stored the car in Vegas I had no plans before Bakersfield Double...And things changed maybe.

Got in a few ago. I will compare the sheets in a little while to see who I both can thank (for withdrawing early enough that I can make concrete plans, drive safely and rest a bit along the way when needed, and not drive like I need to get there yesterday), and at the same time commiserate with them and thank them personally but also understand it is a tough thing to miss out on when you had plans (maybe long term plans to compete there).

I just hope it was a choice and not a family or personal emergency, car breakage or the like. If it was any of the above I sincerely send my condolences.

Thread closed. TY all.

Ty Mr. Bongiovanni, and I hope everything is OK with you, the family, the car, and everything else in your life, and it was just situational. I do appreciate the early rather than later withdraw so safe travel planning on my end could take place and I can now travel at a relaxed pace. Leaving in the am for another 37 day racing/ camping trip (did miss the Bowling Green race, but that had more to do with it was a hasty look at what may be possible vs what was prudent and reasonable.

And I had stored the car safely away in Vegas not expecting to access it until the Bakersfield double, and the one with keys was out of state. My fault, not his...Leaving in the AM Indy "Big Go" (please dear lord let that weather forecast be correct, and the same temps/winds I left behind in Seattle), bound, then VA, SC, OK, CA and Vegas again, PHX D7 Finals, Vegas and CA.

As sit here not loading any active fuel cans into the truck till after dark (111 degrees outside here now), this oven we live in is bad.

Don Kennedy I am thinking about you brother....RIP.
