Dutch Classic Hemi Challenge Winner
Congratulations to Jim Daniels for winning the Hemi Challenge at the Dutch. Some fast runs were made (8.38 and 159.95mph) but at the end of the day, Daniels was in the mid-40's/low 50's both days and I don't think he ever had problems getting off the starting line.
We happen to be parked across from Jim and the rest of the Hemi guys and Jim's son (who couldn't be 12 years old) was seen on more than one occasion, behind the wheel as Jim was towing the car around on his four-wheeler. I had to look twice as his head barely made it over the steering wheel. They seemed to be having an awesome time enjoying the experience. With all the yapping that goes on about/from the Hemi's, it was nice to see Jim walk away with the trophy. Congrats. I stole the following picture from the dragracingaction.com website. |

Congratulations to Jim Daniels for his Hemi Challenge win at the Dutch Classic. I was there for all 4 days, well 3 days, after Saturday's total washout; and once again it proved the old saying about "on any given day anyone can win". It appeared to be a foregone conclusion that it would be an all Westcott final; but after both went out in Rd.#3, neither made it to the final. Again congrats to Jim Daniels on a job very well done.
