Default Hey Jeff Lee

Jeff,

I was just giving you a hard time about the Advanced Clutch stuff. I'm sure Rob's stuff is great. Don't take it personal. I bet Bret Voges and Tim Hyatt would take exception to the buy my stuff and you might have a chance to beat me comment. You should load it up and bring it to Dallas in April and well see if my dog can run. When are you getting your's out of the shop? It's been awhile. When they say a few weeks they mean months right. Later, ED

April? If I made that promise I surely would be a fool at this point! The car is completely dismantled. In fact if I ever wanted to part it out now would be the time. Then I decided "since the engines out..." and have new pistons on order from Mr. Miller. These will be real superstock pistons instead of my stocker pistons which had "valve pockets on valve pockets x 2" along with stocker weight and ring land positions. And Oliver rods will be replacing the Manley rods and a new / old (AMC) crank is in getting the super-whazoo SS modifications. If I told you how much the reciprocating weight and bearing size changes are going to be compared to what I've been runnin' you'd spit that Dr. Pepper all over your keyboard and call Parson & Meyers up first thing in the mornin' for a new bullet! And the Advanced clutch is a full 3#'s lighter than the titanium piece that was in before. Doin' some other stuff to the engine but I shouldn't say because I don't know if your healthy enough to take it all at once.
So I think when it's all done I'll need a dose of caffine before I run just so I can grab 2nd quick enough. I'm hopin' to break that 10.02 best and run at least a 9.95 so I can take that record from ya!
Texas, that's east of here, ain't it?

Jeff hope you get it back soon. I won't be calling anyone for an engine. There is nothing wrong with mine. In case you haven't heard Mr. Voges builds a pretty nice piece just ask around. Terry Anderson(another Chevy II) has the record in H @9.96. He's the one were chasing. The Houston race isn't until May so it's not going to be as fast as years past when it was run in Feb. I'll give it a shot anyway. By the way my health is just fine. Thanks for asking. ED
