Mike, thats the main reason I have been looking at the Rockett, from Tracy Robbins. His 111 was a lot cheaper. The ones I have talked to, said there was no difference between the 2. I want to get some and try it my self, first, before committing to buying a barrel.

IHRA jusat announced VP as the official fuel I hope whomever the distributor is charges a fair price especially now that gas prices are sinking fast.
I can't speak to Rockingham, but NED has the same price for fuel all season. National event or not. They didn't even change the gut buster special....which I was stunned to see at the same low low price of $10 if I recall correctly.

This would be an easy thing for the IHRA to dictate. Keep your fuel prices the same!

In my first season in stock, I made sure to call ahead, didn't want to run afoul of the fuel check if the track didn't have sunnoco blue.

I am looking forward to 09.

Believe what you want, there is a difference. We run VP because of the difference. Eight years and we have never had a problem with the fuel, or getting contingency checks. We buy in drums, and keep the fuel in drums (15, 30, and 54 gallon drums). If your running heads up in a competitive class, and winning, you are most likely running VP.

Kevin, unless you have a high compression engine, get your jetting right and C11 will be faster. Don't change your tuneup and you won't see anything.

I second that Kevin! Byron and I both used to run C11 then C12. Switched to Sunoco Blue a few years ago when dad got us on a deal with them. Now run Sunoco purple and our cars are running as fast, oh, and consistant as ever! I've beaten those in class who claim there is a difference! The only difference I see is in price!

Unless someone puts me on a better deal than we have now, I'm definitely staying with Sunoco!! I'm sure I speak for the other two in my family also!!

As far as contingency payments go......they pay us for everything!!!

I sell Rockett Brand and have never had a problem with fuel check. It's a hell of alot cheaper than VP and makes more power on the dyno. All of my customers love it and it is very consistent. Hey Bryan...call me, I might have a deal for you...443-207-2961.

My original post was not about performance it was about bending us over the fence because they can by gouging on fuel prices..I just think we are getting screwed. The idea of a track raising a price 2.00 per gallon from an already high price just to nip the sportsmen racers who are traveling in some cases hundreds of miles to get to a track just says to me screw you racer you are dog ****.We can make a difference there is strength in numbers.Call ahead find out what they are going to charge if it is over 8.00 per gallon dont buy it there bring your own.

Thanks
