FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: March 5, 2009 Contact: Kristin Anderson 714-575-5000 SPARCO SUPPLIES SPORTSMAN RACERS WITH SFI/1 SUITS AFTER NEW RULE EMPLEMENTED ANAHEIM, CA --- Racers competing in Super Street, Stock Eliminator, and Super Stock are known for their casual racing attire such as jeans and loud printed pants over the jean. Now for drivers falling under certain categories and speed brackets those old habits will be broken as they are now required to wear a SFI Spec 3.2A/1 jacket and pants. Sparco is proud to announce that we are one of the few safety equipment companies that are now offering a 2 piece “Trophy Suit” that meets SFI Spec 3.2A/1 requirements for these drivers. Drivers competing in Super Street are required to wear the SFI/1 jackets with the option of the pants unless the car is faster than 135 mph, in which the driver will then be required to wear a SFI Spec 3.2A/5 jacket and pants. Stock Eliminator competitors who are racing in classes AA/S-M/S, AA/SA-M/SA and any vehicles running an ET of 11.49 and quicker must be outfitted in the SFI/1 jacket and pants. Racers running Super Stock inc lasses SS/J-SS/P, SS/JA-SS/PA and piloting a vehicle with an ET falling in between the times of 10.00-11.49 are now also required to wear the SFI/1 jacket and pants.
