Being able to seal the carb to the hood is worth something, at least is was on my Firebird, and those scoops are in the wrong spot compared to a cowl hood on a Chevrolet. It doesnt cost a 1000.00 dollars to put a hood on one of those cars. You can by a brand new replacement for GM for under 300.00. Maybe this will go away, or people will have extra hoods for that new 300 Hp 350 or a big block project.
