You're not going to see imports in Stock as the people that race imports are by no means working within the confines of rules like Stock eliminator. The tuner scene in general is far more concerned with increasing power through engine swaps and power adders. The only way you might see one is if its found by someone like Bob Shaw to be underfactored enough to be a good candidate for an easy #1 qualifier. Most of the racers you've named and pretty much all of the FWD racers in Stock/SS historically have been involved with class racing prior to building the FWD car.

My pardons to you as well Tim, and to Larry Dowty as well with his Pontiac Grand Am Super Stocker. I'm a bit jealous of you two, because gone are the Super Stock classes that my fwd V6 could've ran in. However, when I think of having to add a roll bar, and a tranny blanket (et. al.), just to run against an index that was a just a tad bit more than one second quicker than the CF/S index is, it makes me glad I'm a stocker...besides I go to the drags to race Stock, and watch Super Stock. Who knows Tim, someday perhaps you and I will shock the drag racing world by winning Stock & Super Stock with our fwd cars up there at your Brainerd track, if not Bandimere Speedway nearly halfway between our homesteads? I just hope that the bee population is much smaller than what I saw when I was there in '05 for the Div V ET Finals (they were as bountiful as flies in Denver!!!)? By the way Tim, what's with your mosquito's having what seems like suction cups on their legs---when I left the track I had to get my truck over 40mph to get the wind to blow the darn thing off my windshield??? Sheeessh !!!
