My membership expires 5-22-09 & my number/drivers license expires 5-31-09.
This latest round of enhancements by NHRA is just going to make it easier to drop out & spend more time with IHRA & my house boat. (which I haven't spent the night on in 3 years) It also makes it easier to justify selling all this race equipment & build that 4 place home built airplane I've dreamed about for years. I've been a victum of NHRA's continued sportsman enhancement since way back when they did away with Modified. Then they got to me for about $50,000 when they changed the weight brake of A/SR from 5.5 lbs to 7 Lbs. I had enough of them in the early 90's and dropped out. Like a dumb A** I thought things had changed & returned in 2004. I can see the light. I've subsidized their pro's enough. My ego isn't so big I can't say I race with another organization. I also take exception to the way they always justify their enhancements. It is So- very insulting to me. You know it gives me a dirty feeling... like some huckster that has his arm around you & is patting you on the back while he has his hand buried in your wallet. There is life without NHRA, I've experienced it before & it looks like I'm going to again.
