This latest round of enhancements by NHRA is just going to make it easier to drop out & spend more time with IHRA & my house boat. I've been a victum of NHRA's continued sportsman enhancement since way back when they did away with Modified. Then they got to me for about $50,000 when they changed the weight brake of A/SR from 5.5 lbs to 7 Lbs. I had enough of them in the early 90's and dropped out. Like a dumb A** I thought things had changed & returned in 2004. I can see the light. I've subsidized their pro's enough. My ego isn't so big I can't say I race with another organization. I also take exception to the way they always justify their enhancements. It is So- very insulting to me. You know it gives me a dirty feeling... like some huckster that has his arm around you & is patting you on the back while he has his hand buried in your wallet. There is life without NHRA, I've experienced it before & it looks like I'm going to again.

Yes Adger there is LIFE after drag racing. Ive experienced it and it is GREAT. Its a wonderful world out there. Drag racing was like a drug to me for many years.Far to many. Its almost as hard to kick as it is for a smoker to stop smoking. Everytime Im around a race car and hear the sounds and/or go to a race it makes me want to spend spend spend. I thought I could help by doing something with Alex but after the last "go around" with the usual complainners on this forum and Im sure many who NEVER post anything I really dont think its worth the effort. I will, have to do some serious soul searching if i were to continue with this project. You have what you have (NHRA) so enjoy your enhancements.....LOL.
