Below is a blog that I wrote for my English College class... yes college guys!! Please feel free to correct as you see needed and share with fellow racers as the menaing needs to be spread... thanks so much to all my racing family!!!
Driving a racecar takes time, dedication , and focus. Sometimes as drivers we forget the main focus on life, such as winning is not the whole world. I have learned in the last year with the death of my uncle Terry, Grand mother in-law, Father in-law and Mother in-law. That it's not always about the next race or the new set of heads, no it's about family. If our families did not support us no one would be able to race, but we think we are 100% behind our family. Until sometimes it's to late and we look back and realize wow where has time gone. I received the greatest present today and it cost nothing. You see as I have dealt with the deaths this year I started to realize how many pictures I have of the racecar and races, but not of my back bone my family. Racers I bet if you look around most of you are the same way. Spouses of racers are agreeing with me. So Today I was able to have a family picture with no racecar, racetrack, or sponsors just my faimly. When racing is gone my true love will always be there my family. Really how many pictures of the same car doing the same thing can you have. Your family changes everyday, so I ask everyone who reads this to do this and you will never be upset you did. Get a digital camera and take one family picture a month for one year and see the changes. Look for more blogs from Waibel Competition. Jeremy Waibel Driver of the NHRA B/SA K&N CAMARO |
