Freeze treating pininon gear?
I've broke a couple of pinion gears on my FWD cars. They shear on the shaft, the gear end is fine, no damage to the ring gear.
Someone suggested Cryo teating the pinion. Will this help? The pinion breaks in the middle of the shaft away from any maching. Is there any other treatment, that will work better?
