Selling race car into Canada?

I may be selling my car to someone in Canada and they want me to delivery race car and my enclosed trailer, anybody ever done this before? Do I need a passport to enter the country? Will I be checked when I come back out? What happens if I don't come back with everything I took in?

Any help would be appreciated, I would need to have the car there in September.
