Default Bore Alignment Tool

Hey Everyone,

I had a quick question. We are about to clean up a LT1 block that i have for a stocker motor. Give it a minimum bore to clean the cylinder walls. I had heard something about a Bore alignment tool that uses the dowel pins on the back of the block. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

If so, is it necessary to use or am i being over-picky? Where could i find or borrow one. Any help would be appreciative. Thanks in advance.
