M68,,,, Wow,, its been so long since I read this thread,,I had to go back and look at what I was referring to. Since I was responding to Paul's posting of early '70 Hemi dominance of Pro Stock, I should've referred to Jenkin's Camaro as simply big block powered, and not mentioned the cubic inches, as the size of the Hemis were not discussed, and some of those were destroked, but possibly not at that time.
I do remember the stories about Jenkin's Can-Am based powerplants, but I was thinking they were a later exercise, in his '69 car. My "Grumpy's Toys" book is on loan, so I can't check how dried up my brain cells are getting. The '70s were my favorite era of Pro Stock,,, the cars still looked like they were supposed to, and ran like nothing we'd ever seen.
