Default Re: Super Stock Racing

Welcome to Class Racer. Yes, the cost of Super Stock racing has increased by leaps and bounds. But, so has all forms of racing in the last few years. The best place to start is, probably, bracket racing. This will hone your skills and determine if you REALLY want to go Super Stock racing. Talk to as many of the guys and gals at your local track as you can. Also, get advice from the multitude of races that are here on Class Racer. I am on the west coast so I know a few of the locals. Jody and Toby Lang, Mark Faul, Kelly Thomas are 3 that come to mind for advice They are all on here, so should be easy to contact. Brad Burton, the current stock champ is also from the northwest now. I am not sure if he is on this forum, though. Don Elgin, even though he is a stock class racer, has been doing this since the late 60's. Good luck and hope you get lots of good advice from each person you encounter.
